उत्तर प्रदेश सिविल प्रक्रिया (जिला न्यायालय) मध्यस्थता नियमावली-2021 के तहत जिला विधिक सेवा प्राधिकरण, वाराणसी के एडीआर सेंटर में मध्यस्थों की नियुक्ति हेतु इंटरव्यू प्रक्रिया सोमवार से शुरू होकर मंगलवार को पूरी हो गई।
👉 29 पदों के लिए 298 अधिवक्ताओं ने आवेदन किया, जिनमें 2 पूर्व अपर जिला जज (बिहार और आगरा से) एवं 3 पूर्व जिला जज (भदोही, संतकबीर नगर और बिहार से) भी शामिल बताए जा रहे हैं। पहले चरण में सोमवार को 150 आवेदकों व दूसरे चरण मंगलवार को 148 आवेदकों का इंटरव्यू हुआ।
👉 अर्हता के अनुसार, कम से कम 10 वर्ष का अधिवक्ता अनुभव, सेवानिवृत्त जिला एवं सत्र न्यायाधीश/अपर जिला एवं सत्र न्यायाधीश, अथवा विधि क्षेत्र में 15 वर्ष का अनुभव रखने वाले विशेषज्ञ पात्र हैं। साक्षात्कार सुबह 11 बजे से शुरू होकर देर शाम तक चला।
👉 खास बात यह है कि आवेदकों में पूर्व न्यायाधीश के साथ साथ बार के पूर्व और वर्तमान पदाधिकारी भी शामिल हैं, जिस पर सामान्य वकीलों ने तंज कसते हुए कहा—“जब बार के लोग ही उम्मीदवार हैं तो न्याय की उम्मीद कम ही है।” अब इसकी सच्चाई परिणाम आने पर ही साफ होगी।

Interviews Concluded for 29 Mediator Posts; 298 Lawyers Interviewed, Including 5 Former Judges
Varanasi:
The interview process for the appointment of mediators at the ADR Centre of the District Legal Services Authority, Varanasi, under the Uttar Pradesh Civil Procedure (District Court) Mediation Rules, 2021, started on Monday and concluded on Tuesday.
* A total of 298 lawyers applied for the 29 posts. This included 2 former Additional District Judges (from Bihar and Agra) and 3 former District Judges (from Bhadohi, Sant Kabir Nagar, and Bihar). In the first phase, 150 applicants were interviewed on Monday, and 148 applicants were interviewed on Tuesday.
* According to the eligibility criteria, candidates must have at least 10 years of experience as a lawyer, be a retired District and Sessions Judge/Additional District and Sessions Judge, or be an expert with 15 years of experience in the field of law. The interviews began at 11 a.m. and continued late into the evening.
* A notable point is that the applicants also include former and current office bearers of the bar council, along with former judges. This led to a sarcastic remark from general lawyers who commented, "When the people of the bar council are themselves candidates, there is little hope for justice." The truth of this will only become clear once the results are announced.
