थाना सिगरा क्षेत्र में दर्ज एक आपराधिक मामले में गवाह को अनुचित दबाव बनाकर मुकदमे में सुलह-समझौता कराने का गंभीर आरोप सामने आया है। प्रार्थिनी अंकिता ग्वाल पत्नी शिवेश भट्ट निवासी सोनिया मोहल्ला, वाराणसी ने पुलिस आयुक्त को प्रार्थना पत्र देकर आरोप लगाया है कि मुकदमे में नामजद अभियुक्तगण गवाह और उनके परिवार को लगातार शारीरिक व मानसिक रूप से प्रताड़ित कर रहे हैं।
👉 प्रार्थिनी के अनुसार दिनांक 28 मई 2025 को थाना सिगरा में मुकदमा संख्या 180/2025 अंतर्गत धारा 296, 352 बी.एन.एस. पंजीकृत कराया गया था, जिसमें शुभोदीप डे (डीन) और प्रतिभा त्रिवेदी (प्रिंसिपल) को नामजद अभियुक्त बनाया गया है। आरोप है कि इन अभियुक्तों के दबाव में विद्यालय प्रबंधन द्वारा गवाह का बार-बार स्थानांतरण किया गया और वर्तमान में उसी शाखा में भेज दिया गया, जहाँ अभियुक्त डीन कार्यरत है।
👉 गंभीर आरोप यह भी है कि विद्यालय के प्रेसीडेंट और एडिशनल डायरेक्टर भी मुकदमे में समझौता कराने के लिए दबाव बना रहे हैं। प्रार्थिनी का कहना है कि जब गवाह और उनके परिवार ने समझौते से इनकार किया तो विद्यालय प्रशासन ने उनके दो बच्चों को भी शोषण व उत्पीड़न का शिकार बनाना शुरू कर दिया।
👉 प्रार्थना पत्र में यह भी उल्लेख किया गया है कि 01 सितंबर 2025 को गवाह की नाबालिग पुत्री को अभियुक्त पक्ष के लोगों ने धमकाते हुए कहा कि “तुम्हारी मम्मी से कह दो कि जो डीन सर माँग रहे हैं, उन्हें दे दें, अन्यथा तुम्हारे साथ भी वही होगा, जो तुम्हारी मम्मी की साथी के साथ हुआ है।” इस धमकी से गवाह और उनका परिवार बेहद सहम गया है।
👉 प्रार्थिनी ने पुलिस आयुक्त से मांग की है कि शुभोदीप डे, प्रतिभा त्रिवेदी, प्रेसीडेंट और एडिशनल डायरेक्टर के विरुद्ध सुसंगत धाराओं एवं पॉक्सो एक्ट के तहत मुकदमा दर्ज कर सख्त कानूनी कार्रवाई की जाए, जिससे पीड़ित गवाह और उसके बच्चों को न्याय मिल सके।

Witness Threatened to Settle Case, Minor Girl Intimidated, Woman Files Complaint with Police Commissioner

A serious allegation has emerged in a criminal case registered at the Sigra police station, claiming that undue pressure is being put on a witness to compromise the case. The petitioner, Mrs. Ankita Gwal, wife of Mr. Shivesh Bhatt, a resident of Sonia Mohalla, Varanasi, has submitted a complaint to the Police Commissioner, alleging that the accused named in the case are continuously harassing the witness and her family both physically and mentally.
According to the petitioner, on May 28, 2025, FIR number 180/2025 was registered under section 296, 352 B.N.S. at the Sigra police station, naming Shubhodip Dey (Dean) and Pratibha Trivedi (Principal) as the accused. It is alleged that under pressure from the accused, the school management repeatedly transferred the witness and has now sent her back to the same branch where the accused Dean works.
A serious accusation also states that the school's President and Additional Director are also pressuring them to settle the case. The petitioner says that when the witness and her family refused to compromise, the school administration began to exploit and harass her two children as well.
The complaint also mentions that on September 1, 2025, people from the accused's side threatened the witness's minor daughter, saying, "Tell your mom to give Dean sir what he's asking for, or the same thing that happened to your mom's friend will happen to you." This threat has left the witness and her family extremely frightened.
The petitioner has requested the Police Commissioner to register a case against the Shubhodip Dey, Pratibha Trivedi, the President, and the Additional Director under relevant sections and the POCSO Act and take strict legal action so that the victim witness and her children can get justice.
