बिहार से अवैध असलहे लाकर पूर्वांचल के जनपदों में बेचने के मामले में आरोपित असलहा तस्कर को कोर्ट से बड़ी राहत मिल गई है। विशेष न्यायाधीश (भ्रष्टाचार निवारण अधिनियम प्रथम) अवधेश कुमार की अदालत ने मुंगेर, बिहार निवासी आरोपित गोविंद साव को पुलिस द्वारा गिरफ्तार किए जाने की दशा में 50-50 हजार रुपए की दो जमानतें एवं बंधपत्र देने पर अग्रिम जमानत पर रिहा करने का आदेश दिया।

👉 अभियोजन पक्ष के अनुसार एसटीएफ निरीक्षक अनिल कुमार सिंह को सूचना मिली थी कि मुंगेर, बिहार से फैक्ट्री मेड पिस्टल बनाकर वाराणसी और गोरखपुर में तस्करी की जा रही है। 17 जुलाई 2025 को सूचना मिली कि समर बहादुर सिंह, जो पूर्व में भी जेल जा चुका है, के पास मुंगेर से भेजा गया असलहा मौजूद है। जिसके बाद एसटीएफ की टीम ने बावन बीघा रिंग रोड के पास घेराबंदी कर एक गाड़ी को रोका, जिसमें सवार दोनों व्यक्तियों की पहचान समर बहादुर सिंह और भोला कुमार के रूप में हुई। गाड़ी की तलाशी में झोले से 4 मैगजीन लगी पिस्टल और 3 अलग मैगजीन बरामद हुईं। पूछताछ में उन्होंने बताया कि उक्त पिस्टल उन्हें मुंगेर, बिहार निवासी गोविंद साव ने बेचा है। इसके बाद दोनों को गिरफ्तार कर लालपुर-पांडेयपुर थाना में तीनों आरोपितों के खिलाफ मुकदमा दर्ज किया था।

Arms Smuggling Case: Accused Granted Anticipatory Bail

A court has provided significant relief to an accused arms smuggler involved in a case of illegally bringing weapons from Bihar and selling them in districts of Purvanchal. The court of Special Judge (Prevention of Corruption Act I) Avdhesh Kumar has ordered the release of the accused, Govind Sao, a resident of Munger, Bihar, on anticipatory bail, should the police arrest him. He must furnish two sureties and a personal bond of ₹50,000 each.

Details of the Case as per the Prosecution
👉 According to the prosecution, STF Inspector Anil Kumar Singh received a tip-off that factory-made pistols were being smuggled from Munger, Bihar, into Varanasi and Gorakhpur. On July 17, 2025, they received information that Samar Bahadur Singh, who had previously been to jail, was in possession of weapons sent from Munger. Following this, the STF team set up a roadblock near Bawan Bigha Ring Road and stopped a car. The two individuals inside were identified as Samar Bahadur Singh and Bhola Kumar. A search of the car's bag led to the recovery of four pistols with magazines and three separate magazines. During questioning, they revealed that Govind Sao, a resident of Munger, Bihar, had sold them the pistols. Both were then arrested, and a case was registered against all three accused at the Lalpur-Pandeypur police station.
