स्पेशल जज भ्रष्टाचार निवारण अधिनियम (यूपीएसईबी) वाराणसी के न्यायाधीश विनोद कुमार की अदालत ने बलात्कार और ब्लैकमेलिंग के गंभीर आरोपों का सामना कर रहे आरोपी प्रतीक सिंह की जमानत याचिका खारिज कर दी है।

क्या है पूरा मामला:
👉 छत्तीसगढ़ की एक शिक्षिका गीत रवि, जो नेहरू हायर सेकेंडरी स्कूल में वाइस प्रिंसिपल हैं, की प्रतीक सिंह से पहचान फेसबुक के माध्यम से हुई थी। प्रतीक ने उसे प्रेम और विवाह का भरोसा दिलाकर वाराणसी बुलाया। 15 फरवरी 2025 को गीत रवि वाराणसी आईं, जहां प्रतीक ने उसे सरस्वती लॉज में ठहराया और खुद भी वहीं रुका। लॉज में उसने शादी का वादा कर गीत रवि के साथ उसकी इच्छा के विरुद्ध शारीरिक संबंध बनाए और उनके वीडियो भी बनाए।
👉 इसके बाद वह दो दिनों के अंतराल में कई बार पीड़िता के साथ संबंध बनाता रहा। छत्तीसगढ़ लौटने के बाद गीत रवि को पता चला कि प्रतीक पहले से शादीशुदा है और एक बच्चे का पिता भी है। जब उसने उससे संपर्क बंद कर दिया, तो प्रतीक लगातार कई फोन नंबरों से कॉल, मैसेज और धमकी देने लगा।
वीडियो वायरल कर दी बदनामी:
👉 पीड़िता द्वारा जब सारे नंबर ब्लॉक कर दिए गए, तब प्रतीक ने उसके अश्लील वीडियो स्कूल के संचालक और ग्राम प्रधान को भेजकर वायरल कर दिए, जिससे उसकी सामाजिक और पेशेवर छवि को गहरा आघात पहुंचा। इसके बाद गीत रवि ने छत्तीसगढ़ थाने में एफआईआर दर्ज कराई, लेकिन घटनास्थल वाराणसी होने के कारण मामला वहां स्थानांतरित कर दिया गया।
👉 वाराणसी के लंका थाने में दिनांक 16 जुलाई 2025 को मामला दर्ज कर प्रतीक सिंह को गिरफ्तार किया गया। न्यायालय ने दोनों पक्षों की दलीलें सुनने के बाद मामले की गंभीरता को देखते हुए प्रतीक सिंह की धारा 64(2)(m) के तहत दाखिल जमानत अर्जी को खारिज कर दिया।

Bail Plea Denied in 'Rape on the Pretext of Marriage' Case

The court of Special Judge, Prevention of Corruption Act (UPSEB), Varanasi, Vinod Kumar, has rejected the bail application of Prateek Singh, who is facing serious charges of rape and blackmail. The prosecution, represented by Assistant District Government Counsel (Criminal) Rohit Maurya, opposed the bail, describing the accused's actions as a serious threat to society.
The Case Details
* The victim, Geet Ravi, a vice-principal at Nehru Higher Secondary School in Chhattisgarh, met Prateek Singh on Facebook.
* Prateek lured her to Varanasi under the pretense of love and marriage.
* On February 15, 2025, when Geet Ravi arrived in Varanasi, Prateek arranged for her stay at Saraswati Lodge and stayed there with her. At the lodge, he made false promises of marriage and had physical relations with her against her will, also recording videos of the act.
* For the next two days, he continued to have relations with her multiple times.
* Upon returning to Chhattisgarh, Geet Ravi discovered that Prateek was already married and had a child. When she cut off contact with him, Prateek began calling, messaging, and threatening her from various phone numbers.
Blackmailing and Humiliation
* When the victim blocked all his numbers, Prateek went on to send and viral her explicit videos to her school's director and village head, severely damaging her social and professional reputation.
* Following this, Geet Ravi filed an FIR at a police station in Chhattisgarh, but the case was transferred to Varanasi as it was the location of the crime.
* An FIR was registered at Lanka Police Station in Varanasi on July 16, 2025, and Prateek Singh was subsequently arrested.
* After hearing arguments from both sides, and considering the gravity of the matter, the court rejected Prateek Singh's bail application, which was filed under Section 64(2)(m).
